1. Who we are
Resourcefull ("we") is the responsible party for personal information processed through this platform, in terms of the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA).
2. Information we collect
- Parents/guardians: name, contact details, billing details, consent records and communication preferences.
- Children: name, grade, school, subjects, learning notes, lesson attendance and progress reports. Children's information is processed only with the consent of a competent person (parent or guardian).
- Tutors: profile, qualifications, availability and payment details.
3. Why we use it
To arrange and deliver tutoring, communicate about lessons, invoice and receive payment, report on progress, and meet legal obligations. Marketing emails are sent only if you opt in, and you can opt out at any time.
4. Who can see it
Tutors see only the learners assigned to them and the lesson information needed to teach — never your billing details. Administrators access information only for running the service. We do not sell personal information.
5. Security
Data is stored with strict access controls so that each family, tutor and learner can only see their own records. Course materials are delivered via expiring secure links.
6. Your rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, object to processing, and withdraw consent. Use the data request option in your account or contact us. You may also lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator.
7. Retention
We keep records only as long as needed for the purposes above or as required by law (e.g. tax records).
